How's your metal koala closure holding up?

I've only used mine for THREE DAYS and I already nicked it in the middle, and it already has some light surface scratches on it

Looks like those two little dot protectors on the underside of the stationary side of the lock isn't doing a great job of preventing the hardware from being scratched.

Not really, I just want to know if it's just me being super clumsly and careless with the lock!

My mom has this bag. She's more annoyed by fingerprints more than the little nicks.
Sometimes, she doesn't even bother clasping the closure.

same as my koala wallet! i think that's just the way the koala clasps work...sad but true..

The fingerprints...yup. I spend most of the time in my boyfriend's car rubbing and cleaning off the fingerprints

Yesterday, I pretty much left the flap unclasped all day. I did noticed those 2 plastic knobs underneath, but the light nicks I have is coming from when then clasp is lock in place, above the "triangle", where the stationary portion sits.

I know what you mean, my closure always hits the stationary part because the flap's so heavy ush:
