Hi! Kindly please help. I just bought Coach Swagger F35990 in metallic blue. It looks authentic but one thing that made me wonder, at the bottom of the bag there is no foot. It seems all Coach Swagger has foot after I googled it. Is my bag fake? My seller even gave me the receipt. She said she bought it directly from an outlet in US (I live in south east Asia) Kindly please enlighten me. Many thanks in advance for all the help.

I'm concerned too. Until more information is posted, I don't recommend requesting a return but you might want to be prepared for the possibility that you'll have to do it.

Please refer to post #1 for the posting info we need. I really would need (and love) to see the seller ID and the link to the listing.

You might also consider reading this thread I started 18 months ago. At the time, I referred to a "ring" in the NY/NJ area but in the subsequent 18 months, it's gotten significantly worse with fake swaggers and the scary close quality of the fakes.

Posting again to ask for verification of authenticity, please.

Item: Edie 31 whiplash, surplus color
Listing number: poshmark order
Seller: former_prof1012 (in my possession)
Link: please see pics
Comments: just curious about the creed. Does Coach not put the serial on it anymore? Just received this in the mail today. Love the metallic whiplash.

I don't do newer styles and can't authenticate your bag, but Coach hasn't put serial numbers on their creeds for over 2 years. Summer 2014 was when they started eliminating the stamped numbers. The production codes are now put on the white fabric tag shown in one of your photos. Unfortunately the serial number stamp was a common place for fakes makers to make mistakes so it's made our job that much harder when looking at newer styles.

Please wait for an authenticator who's more experienced in that style.

Genuine, Belmont and Murphy

BTW, in the future please be sure to supply all the information we ask for as listed in post number One in this thread, thanks!

If they haven't been bought recently from an online site but are from your own collection, you just need to say that.

Could you please authenticate these Coach purses? I really appreciate your help!

Black Bag - (very faded creed so I have photos from two angles):

Tan Bag - looks like a Willis but doesn't have the style number:

Genuine, Equestrian Zip (I think) and Willis

Thank you, Hyacinth, and I do apologize; I will make sure that my future requests are in the proper format.

By the way, could you please tell me the year Coach first introduced the Willis design?

Just wondering if this ebay listing is an authentic Coach Swagger 27 Butterfly handbag:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-Coach-B...lovetanned-leather-Satchel-38366/192048642764

The seller has posted very thorough (and original looking) photographs, including the inside tag.

Thanks!
I'm going to refer you to a post I made a short while ago. While I don't deny that there are probably some honest sellers with authentic Swagger and other newer styles of bags, unfortunately, I strongly recommend against buying online because there are just too many close fakes.

(Another point I'll make is that NO BAG is too new to have been faked. A comment to that effect was made on someone's private profile when I couldn't authenticate a listing that didn't have proper pictures. For the swaggers, as soon as they came out, the fakes came out too.)

Coach Weston shopper (not?)
seller thatwholeshebang
Item: 331993509744
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Westo...opper-Shoulder-Bag-Handbag-9021-/331993509744

I was just looking at this listing, questioned it (to myself) and now it's ended with a winning bidder. I hope I'm wrong about the authenticity but I don't think I'm wrong!

ETA: Crap! she has this POS too:

I'm playing catch up so I apologize if the question was already answered.

This is a good catch, @Catbird9.

Two Michigan sellers, ebay seller thatwholeshebang and Etsy seller ProVintageGear are selling the same fake bag.
This is a cache of the removed ebay listing from thatwholeshebang:
http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...:g:8z8AAOSwLF1X9~sI+&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us

And this is the listing from Etsy seller ProVintageGear:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/475641140/holiday-sale-coach-brown-leather-weston?ref=hp_rv

And as shown in the side by side comps of the creed pictures from both listings, they are definitely the seller peddling the same bag.

The Willis was introduced in the second half of 1993, so the ones from that year will still have the old all-number serial numbers in the 4+3 format.

Is this legit..
Item: Weston shopper tote
Creed: H7C-9021
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/262724713797
The blurry creed pic worries me. There's one detail that could be due to the poor photo. And there aren't any pictures of the other important details of that style that would help either, like the ends of the dowel or the back of the turnlock plate.

It MIGHT just be due to the angle and the lighting, but it almost looks like the digits in the serial prefix are too close together, and the 7 is actually intruding into the space that belongs to the C. Back then the numbers were still stamped with one of those stamps where the numbers could be changed individually and one digit shouldn't occupy the same little square area as another digit. Maybe the picture below from a bag made in the same plant, month and year will explain things better. The Weston 9021 you're asking about is on the botttom, and a genuine Beekman Brief #5266 is on the top.

Again, it may be OK, but I just can't say so for sure from those photos. I'd want to see a better-lit full-on photo of the creed to be sure it was authentic.

More opinions are welcome.
I can't speak for the listing in question but I did a bit of research that might be useful, if for no other reason, it shows examples that indicate there may have been at least 3 different stamps used in 1997 at the C plant.

This is the creed from the listing in question:
1997_C-plant_QUEST_H7C-9021-a.jpeg

And the following are several comps, including the "donated" stamped creed posted by Hyacinth:
1997_C-plant_DONATED_H7C-5266.jpeg

For some reason, i'm not able to upload pictures of comps so they'll have to be save from the following copies.

The following may be fake. (Hyacinth or Whateve can confirm.)
