AG on LV?

So I want to try that diaper wipe trick on the handles of my LV, but I know it will dry it out so I need ti condition it.
Can I use Apple Gaurde on the handles?

i tried Apple Garde some months ago, and the leather tabs connecting the handles to the bag turned darker and never recovered from it

now my bag looks like only the tabs have oxidized
