Like another member, I too will be turning 47 in March. I feel a lot younger than that though and sometimes forget that I am "in my 40's". After working in sales and management in high tech for many years, I became a SAHM when my first son was born. I stayed home for almost 10 years and did some substitute teaching at their school and fell in love with it. When they were in 3rd and 5th grade I decided to go back to work and began teaching full time at their school. I have been teaching 4th grade (private Christian school - I LOVE it) for the past 5 years or so and taught kindergarten for 2 years prior to that. My sons are in High School now, and I realize how quickly time goes by! I've been married for 20 years to a man who does not like to shop and is proud of that fact. He thinks designer bags are senseless and sees no point to them (gasp!) He has forgotten that he bought me my first designer bag when we were dating 22 years ago! I still have that Gucci bag and remind him that he started this obsession. Of course he reminds me that we had a LOT more money back then, and could afford those things, lol. Also, my friends and coworkers are NOT into designer anything, so I am thankful for TPF where others understand my obsession!
