You look on ebay and most bags are fake! It is scary! And the dustbag too. Real bags always have a white, fluffy dustbag. Fakes have a papery thin dustbag in a dirty grey. Hope this helps :o)

Could someone please help me in authenticating a Vivienne Westwood bag and purse that I bought separately on Ebay. I bought them both believing them to be genuine, and as far as I can tell they are but I just want to be sure!

Could u provide with the eBay sellers name... hopefully you have checked their history. ... rating as a seller... nothing less than 99% ratings... n how many bags they have sold... that would be the 1st tip... Also you can check with fashionphile.com they are one of the most respected boutiques around.... hope this could help you... :smile:

Thank you! additional details: even though it says "genuine leather" the tan backing on the wrap belt is plastic, also the zipper pull is also plastic, that threw me off. the grey suede on the bag does seem to be real, so i'm a little confused...the pink is like paint, please let me know if additional pics are needed.

I tried searching for this Westwood bag online and the only similar one I found was on ioffer.com. - a website known for selling Chinese fakes. This seller claims the bag was a gift so it's origins are unknown but that it's real leather. Can anyone tell me if it's real or fake please? :smile:
