Does anyone know how the black patent downtown holds up? I recently bought one from NM to use as a carryon/overnight bag for a couple of upcoming weekend jaunts. But I really want to carry it as a gym bag and just love the heck out of it since patent may be a short lived phenom--will it hold up/get scratches/ look wrinkly? Anyone know? thanks.

I don't have it, but I would think that the patent could get either wrinkled or it could crack depending on how exactly the bag is stored and such. Granted, my opinion is based more upon my patent shoes than anything else! LOL Maybe you shouldn't listen to me...
