I am all new to him, but love the stacking pictures! I would have posted in there but I think it's supposed to be just pictures so I made a new thread.

I bought a cable bucket bracelet with gold at the ends and a blue topaz cuff with diamonds. Does it look ok to mix the metals like that? What colors look best with the topaz if I wanted one more? Something neutral like pearl or morganite or is there another color that goes really well? Are there certain colors that look better with gold or diamonds?

Is the difference between the 4mm and 5mm very obvious? I am a small in the adults and think the kids large would be fine. They offer a lot more colors and a little cheaper! But not sure if the different sizes will look strange or very obvious.

Thank you.

Is the blue topaz cuff in white gold? Do you have any photos with it? Im not a stacker person actually because i know when 2 gold rub each other you actually take off some gold. Maybe that is why i dont put my engagement ring on top of my wedding ring for this reason. To answer your question though...if based on the color blue topaz would look good with diamonds. I wanna see though how they look first through photos if possible

I don't think the gold rubs off, gold is soft (that's one of the positives about platinum - it's strong) so when pieces rub against each other the metal actually wears down over time.

I have a yellow gold cuff (5mm with diamond caps) and a silver cuff (5mm with yellow gold caps and diamonds). I wear the gold one almost all the time and I add the silver one when I'm wearing one of my two-tone watches.

I think Yurman pieces are all made so no matter what metal they're made of they look fine mixed. I'll try to post pics of mine later.

Try to google it.thats actually the difference between platinum and gold. In platinum if you bump it or something its still there while gold loses some when you bump it to anything. Its why the shank of the ring usually thins out in time or some parts of old jewelry turns color because when some of the gold are removed it reveals its other alloy. This is also specifically the reason why they only allow three times in a lifetime, or rather recemmended, to buff a cartier love bangle because though it can remove scratches, it can also take out some of the gold. Google it.

I don't know what I'm thinking! both of my cuffs are 3mm, not 5mm.
