Hi All!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas :)

I have a bit of a dilema, recently for the past 2 years I have forgotten all about designer bags and wallets and have been focusing on jewelry. In the past year I brought my first 5 stone diamond ring, tennis bracelet and recently brought a solitaire diamond pendant. Which I absolutely Love!
Im not the kind of person who just splurge on things on the whim and I do think things through alot even a couple of months before I purchase something expensive because I really value my hard earned money. With Jewelry and designer items I normally purchase with a bonus or birthday/xmas money or a pay rise.

So I have been hitting the sales this year I promised myself I woudnt buy much as I dont really need anything. I brought a couple of bits and bobs (nothing too pricey) so I am glad I didnt go all out even though I wanted to buy the whole of zara store in the sale I resisted!

However I was in selfridge and I noticed this YSL Purse/wallet and omg I really do love it!
It wasnt on sale and I didn't purchase it but I cant stop thinking about it.

Now I do love YSL and Givency but i admire it from afar and admire it on the lovely ladies here on the purseforum as to me with my jewelry addiction I really dont want to be spending money on premier designers anymore. However with this I really feel like I want to part with my cash ASAP and buy it. But to me I still feel like its alot of money on a purse. At the moment I carry my LV Sarah wallet which I have had for about 3 years now and have used it everyday since so I am getting a little bored with it.

I really like it, feel like I should wait awhile see if im still in love with it later or not but also I have that little voice in my head which is saying buy buy buy!:graucho::graucho::graucho:

Do you think its too much for a wallet/purse?
Do you think I should save the cash for something bigger (like another jewelry piece) :graucho:

Thanks for the advice :)

My purchases have too separate criteria: do I truly love it and can I afford it? These are yes or no questions in my mind, completely separate from one another (I don't allow price to be a factor in the first question at all), and both have to be yes to buy. I realize there's some opportunity cost: if I spend this, I may not be able to buy something else, but there's a flip side too. If you don't buy it, then wind up needing another wallet for whatever reason, will you find something that you love as much and will it be worth the money you spend on it? It's a matter of you deciding which presents the better options for you.

I think I'm trying not to splurge on a whim but I really do love the purse

You'll only know if you really do love the purse after you buy it. We all love so much what we see in stores and something just catches our eye, then it just stays in our heads for day and night.
For some people, they continue to really love the item for years to come. For others, the love sort of dies off and another item has sorta caught their eye a little later.

If money isn't an issue and you really love it and can't stop thinking about it, I say buy it. For myself, if I walk away from something and find myself obsessing over an item then it is meant to be. Just my 2 cents. Let us know what you decide :)

Is there something else you're saving up for? If yes, do you love this wallet enough to delay that purchase? If not, and you can afford it and can't stop thinking about it, get it!
