Hi, I am currently looking at getting a powder to even out my skin and hide a little redness around my nose and some freckles. I read Jen's review http://abeautyfulsentiment.blogspot.com/2008/09/yves-saint-laurent-semi-loose-powder-in.html and from what she said it sounded pretty good. Also I have the YSL touche eclat which I really like, that is why I want to purchase more from this brand.

I want to ask those of you who used it, or tried it some questions.

Do you like it why or why not?
How long does it last you
Lastly they now have this black one that is octagon shaped, are they the same (http://www.beautyencounter.com/3365440023284.html)?
Thank you very much!!! All reponses are greatly appreaciated!!!:flowers::flowers:

i saw this thread and was thinking "I have that!" LOL :P. since you've already read my thoughts on this i'll spare you a repeat--but hopefully someone else who has this will chime in!

but that black one looks sooo much cooler than my gold one! although it looks like it only comes in shade 03 saffron which isn't one of the options with the gold and comes with a puff rather than the brush that the gold compact came with. oh and it looks like it's a screw top rather than a compact.

sorry i can't be more help :Push:

I have this! I bought it after reading Jen's review. I love it so far. I keep it in my purse for touch-ups throughout the day, and it really helps keep my skin matte. I have it in the Ivory color, which seems to be pretty translucent to me, and I keep it in my purse (lucky for me, I normally use big handbags). The size bothers me, but I'm getting used to it. I really like the brush it comes with too, it feels really nice.

This is the best powder especially for oily skin. It will not change colors on you. It is so finely milled almost looks air brushed. Love it---wish it was cheaper.

I  this powder! It lasts a long time and has a very sturdy package (other thin compacts break easily (I constantly travel).

The size does not bother me very much. I use the T/eclat, LMercier tinted moisterizer, and then the YSL powder and it gives my face a smooth, matte finish.

^^i would say it's definitely more of a finishing powder, although it does have a small amount of coverage so if your skin is pretty flawless to begin with it could work as a powder foundation.
