Hi, after I read all the opinion, I decided to get the Ivory YSL Muse. I've been wanting this bag for a while and I've waited forever. But now I don't think I like the bag so much anymore. DO you think I will regret if I let it go since I've waited forever to get this bag? I have a mix feeling right now. How about if I like it and want it again in the future? Do you think this bag is hard to get?...oh gosh I don't know...when I look at it I really like it but I feel that the bag is just not my style. can't make up my mind......help me! LOL

Nefredity: If you have mixed feeling about Muse being your style, don't get it no matter how popular it is. Muse's such a hot bag, it comes in many colors (Black, Red, Oak, Chocolate, Ivory, Olive, ...) & materials (buffalo calf leather, patent leather, suede, satin, linen, ..), you can get it when you want it in the future (some combination might not be continued though).

If I were you, I would buy it from a store that I could return it to (ie Neimans, Saks, Bergdorfs). Then once you get it home, just spend a few days looking at it, and playing with your wardrobe to see if it you are still in love. That way, at least you get to try it and see if you like it, and if not, you can simply return it no questions asked.

I know NM in Troy, MI has a ton of Muses, so it should not be too difficult to get. (but just in case, you can call my SA Lisa- 248/635-8442. I know she can get one for you)

Great idea Jag!
Nefredity - if you can't get it from a store to which you can easily return it, you should wait. There are so many great things out there to buy with that $$ - things you will love.

Nefridity, if you aren't in love with the bag I would recommend that you not purchase it. jag's advice is fantastic: if you are able to purchase the bag from a retailer that accepts returns, it might be worth a look. This way you'll be able to feel the bag and see if it is a match for you. Pair it up with different outfits and see how it would fit into your everyday life and wardrobe. You might want to try taking pictures of yourself in front of a mirror while holding the bag. I know it sounds a little silly, but sometimes it's hard to gauge exactly how the bag looks when you're standing there staring at yourself. A photo will give you a little more perspective and it will allow you to mull over the overall effect/picture without feeling any pressure.

Not every bag is going to be a match for every single person, and sometimes we will come across bags that look great on other people but just don't look right on us. For this price tag you should not settle. Buyer's remorse can be horrible.

The Muse is going to be around for a while, so you will have other chances to get the bag if you pass on it this time. I was told that the Ivory is going to be a staple color, so you shouldn't have to worry about it only being available one season color. Good luck with your decision.

Thanks everyone! very good idea indeed.

angstofgumby vbmenu_register("postmenu_346341", true); thanks so much! you've been helping me a lot (in my other threads too)

Sometimes I love the bag but sometimes I feel it's just not my style.... and I am also scared to get the bag dirty (I only like the ivory one in the muse, the black and the choco just don't attract me). decision....decision...

Nefridity, give it some more time instead of getting it now -- you are not losing out on a sale. There are times when I get interested in certain bags because they are considered a must-have for purse lovers, i.e. LV's Speedy 25. I tried it out many times in the store, I still couldn't get myself to fall in love with it. I finally decided to pass it for now, will get it if I end up liking it in the future (my statement of mind & taste might change over time).
