Hey everyone! I got LouLou bag just a couple of days ago in Spain and while I was traveling unfortunately due to bag package (my bad  ) this bag got creased on the back, I have filled it in with paper and it opened up a little bit but still, please would you make any suggestions regarding this matter?? I have not worn it yet but it already feels wrinkled here and there, I guess this bag has durability issues (((

I'm not sure if it has durability issues or if that's just how the leather/bag is.

I don't have the loulou bag but I have seen it out and about. It does tend to show creases and dents after wear.
This is probably due to the the more smooth, semi-shiny finish that the loulou leather has.
The more smooth the leather is or the smaller the grains are, the easier it is for it to show marks, creases or scratches. I believe for smooth and box leather, scratches can be buffed out but I'm not sure about creasing. It may need to be properly stuffed over a period of time before the creases get pushed out. Or it may just improve after stuffing but will always slightly be there. :-s

Also, it is a Matelasse stitch leather, which is a technique that gives a pattern that appears to be quilted or padded but has no padding within the fabric. This gives the bag that quilted appearance and slightly soft texture that many people enjoy. The GG marmont also uses this technique.
However, since there is no padding to give that bit of extra support for the quilted look, that may be why I see GG marmont bags sort of have a more squished look over time.
I cannot say the same for the loulou since the shape of the bag is different and seems to have a more sturdy structure. Only time will tell.

Not sure if I was that helpful, but hope it gave you some insight.

Hopefully someone who has had similar issues to yours may give you better advice on how to fix it, good luck!

Congratulations on your beautiful new bag! I also have the small loulou, and unfortunately, creases in the leather seem to be a normal/common issue. I wish I could give you some advice that would be of help, but hopefully another member will chime in with a possible solution.

Hello everyone. I just opened my brand new Lou Lou today. There’s a crease on it that bothers me. I’m trying to overlook it but just worried it may get worse. What do you think? If it’s normal, I’ll just enjoy it and not give it a second thought. Thanks.

Looks relatively normal to me. I can see that it's possible for a crease to form in that more central area since that's the area that receives stress when the YSL logo is pressed and secured into the leather.
The stitches themselves look even (even size and width). If the stitching was causing the crease, then you may see uneven stitching or stitching that is tighter (so smaller stitches) in one area more than the other.

I'm no handbag maker or YSL expert, these are just my initial thoughts after looking at your photos.
Just make sure that you are really okay with those creases when thinking about keeping the bag. (Not saying you shouldn't keep the bag, just double check with yourself  )

Thanks for your reply. I really want to keep it.

In my experience, it’s pretty normal to have those types of creases in the Lou Lou. I bought my small Lou Lou at the YSL boutique and my SA and I looked at several new bags and almost all had some amount of creases. I think it’s just the nature of the leather. If it doesn’t bother you, enjoy your beautiful bag!

Thank you. It's my first Lou Lou and I didn't realize this was pretty normal.
