I have just purchased my first YSL (to be presided I got 2 bags )
The first one is Loulou medium and the second is Puffer medium.
I’m quiet confused, the Loulou was advertised as lamb skin but inside had a tag saying Cuir Bos Taurus (which I believe is calf).The retailer is local online store called Ounass (they actually own the franchise shop of YSL here) advertised it as lamb and YSL website is saying calf.Here I think I should trust YSL site.Now the second is more confusing
both sites ( second purchase was from Bloomingdales UAE website, As I’m leaving here) are saying Lamb skin (it is distressed stone colour puffer medium) but again the inside tag says: Cuir de veau.
I contacted the YSL online and they could not confirm what leather is it (they answer me first is lamb and when I show them the tag in the chat they said that will contact me... so far nothing)
Anyone can actually help me to understand is the tags correct it the description on the site.
Also what is the difference between bos taurus and cuir de veau?
I was exited to get a lamb skin bag (as all mine are calf and always read how soft and luxurious is the lamb) but it looks like it want be this time.I’m not returning the bags as I got a great deals on them but would love to know what leather they are made of.
