Ysl for everyday use?

Although I do not have that YSL bag, I have 10 YSL’s. I loved Hedi when he was their designer. YSL’s do wear well, especially with a caviar finish. IMO this bag looks like calfskin which has been much more durable (for me) than a beautiful delicate Lambskin. I have seen this bag in person, but I think it was a bit heavy for me. But I did love it’s black/carbon hardware. Typically, when I buy a bag, I judge it on my “anticipated plans” for using it: special occasions vs. everyday use. I am quite lazy and while I love color I most often buy my everyday bags in black (as my outfits usually center around it). Also, almost as important as the color and material is the weight of the bag. I love hardware and details on a nice bag but if it’s heavy I resist buying it. I know if the bag feels heavy with just my wallet and iPhone then I skip it. Using a heavy bag for shopping, errands, or work made me dislike 2 of my designer bags so I learned my lesson. Never again... there will always be another bag. I was told this by my Chanel specialist who focuses on handbags and shoes. Now, it may take some time, but you will find THE ONE. Now, I personally love a great bucket bag for everyday use as many come with adjustable longer straps allowing for crossbody wear. YSL, Chanel, Tom Ford, and Dior, are some of my favorites... I wish you all the best!

Hi, thanks for the thoughtful post. May I ask if you have a light color YSL bag (type Loulou or Envelope), have you experienced any color transfer with everyday use?
