Im a little confused about the color of my new YSL medium Envelope just ordered. The website said its a "beige" color and that there is a different bag they have that is "dark beige". However, ysl.com only sells dark beige bags and not "beige".
The department store helpline person said that she sees two different beiges. Any suggestions
about this? Im hoping I do receive the lighter "beige" as pictured. There also was a choice for a "cream" color that was clearly off white.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it appears that you did not order directly from ysl.com? May I know the website you are referring to?

YSL does have many variations of beige/nude (and reds) depending on the collection/release so they can be pretty confusing at times.

Sometimes, department stores will have old stock of previous releases of past beige colors which may no longer be officially in stock at the main YSL boutiques/ysl.com.

However, I do recommend, if possible, for colors like beiges/nudes, tans/taupes, and reds, to go directly to the store location (flagship or department), as photos online are not the best representation of color. I have gone into the YSL store to look at beige, nude, white, and off white bags and I have been surprised by how different they are in person vs online photos.

I purchased the bag on bloomingdale.com and just got the confirmation for the order as "dark beige" which is just ok. Meaning
I was hoping the bag was older stock and made its way to Bloomies and if i was really lucky would have the silver chain and logo as the lighter bag had
a few years back. But mostly a lighter color than dark beige. I think i may check with the two stores in Beverly Hills and Costa Mesa to see if they have it. Bit strangely the handbag
Specialist online said she was looking at two different beiges. So we shall see. The dark beige may appear less dressy which is what Im after. Any thoughts? Thanks
