Your thoughts on these art deco denim flap bags from the current collection?

I would like to know your thoughts on these bags:

What size would you get? Do you like the print/graphics of the fabric? Is it too much? Too trendy?

Was thinking of getting the bigger size - I’m sure it’s going to make a nice casual bag especially for summer.

I actually recently got a Chanel denim bag last Fall and love how low maintenance it is compared to leather bags. Although I have yet to find how Chanel fabric/denim bags will stand the test of time...

Would love to know your thoughts!

I wasn't aware of these but walked by them in the store the other day -from afar they looked highly textured, (like a felt maybe) and only closer was it clear it was denim. Weren't on my radar but keep thinking about them and wished I tried them on! How are they in terms of sizes/price? Did you like/dislike? Could be really fun but I worry about stains with denim moreso than leather or tweed.

The bigger one is like a jumbo flap and the smaller one is like a square mini flap.

I have a denim flap bag from the 20B collection and I love how low maintenance it is compared to leather bags. However, I do worry about its longevity.

I personally love the art deco graphic design embossed on the bag although I wonder what others think of it.

The design this season has definitely grown on me. I think its based on the famous Copacobana wave tiled sidewalk and I like it.
I also generally love the Chanel denim bags... would I get this pattern over the previous season one? Not sure. I find this is very seasonal and denim is somehow seasonless so I rather pick a more classic pattern for it.

Agree I like the deco design elements and they seem to be infrequent. There was a gorgeous deco style WOC in the 2019 Métiers (Egypt) collection which was folded lambskin with a square/pyramid clasp -- might be the one that got away. I think the design elements on this denim one add interest.

I like it! I like the texture and that it’s different than all the other bags everyone already has. If you already have one from last season this will be something different. Also, if you already have a classic collection you should go for it! However, I agree it might not last 10+ years compared to the leather ones. I wouldn’t buy a denim bag thinking it will last that long.. if you love it, use it well and enjoy it. You can sell it down the road but it will be a loss for sure if you’re okay with that.

I’m on the same boat, I am undecided on the size to get. I’m also still looking at which boutiques actually bought this. I’m looking to get the blue or light blue.

I like them! I personally think they’d look best with a more street style kind of look. Like jeans, sneakers, and an interesting jacket. I feel like they could look a little tacky with girlier attire, but that’s just my personal opinion.

The light blue is cute! I don’t think any of the boutiques in the US received the light blue ones yet. Maybe soon. The gray ones were delivered first.

I was offered both sizes for the gray and I might take the jumbo one.

Oh yay! Excited for you! Lol Please post mod shots or more pics :) Do you mind sharing which boutique already received the gray? I saw a PS already post the light blue jumbo size, I think in NY.. but I’m not positive.
