I don't snack a lot, to be perfectly honest. I almost never do so at home. The only time I do is maybe a couple of times a week at most, at work, in the late morning (if it's too early for lunch) or the late afternoon (if it's too early to go home for dinner.)
I keep snacks in my desk for this purpose- granola bars, oyster crackers (I eat soup all the time for lunch, so there are usually some around- LOL) and sometimes if I'm really feeling naughty, white chocolate chip macadamia cookies (I try to avoid buying them too often, as I can demolish an entire package in a day or two if I have them around.)
