It's a quirkier style, I admit it - but for bikers, students, student-nostalgics, and the mildly-scoliotic, backpacks are a necessity! And on casual days they're such wonderful casual luxe.

I have recently become obsessed by these vintage models (dates just guesses, help me out!)

1. Dooney & Bourke All-Weather-Leather oversized leather backpacks, 70s-80s
2. Hermes Herbag (pre-zip) with interchangeable bags/straps, 90s
4. Coach classic toggle backpacks (though they're tiny) especially in red, 60s-70s
5. Gucci bamboo handle bag - in suede, canvas/leather, or leather - 90s-today

I ordered a Herbag and expect it soon. But still coveting the others... haha. What are your favorite backpacks, vintage and not? I'd love to see MOD SHOTS!

I have

1990s Chanel backpack that was my mothers (and never her favourite)

Burberry reverse check that I use for dance class (it has a shoe compartment in the bottom)

a large Trussardi

and a light green convertible Prada that's lovely for Summer (goes from back-pack to shoulder).

My all-time favorite backpack is the Rebecca Minkoff Julian Backpack. It carries everything I need and it's so comfortable, too. The picture below isn't me, I found it on Google Images so you can see what the bag looks like when worn.

@anthrosphere Oh, wow - the RM bag looks fantastic. So distinctive, too.

@papertiger I'd love to see pictures of the Chanel! maybe that should be my next dream bag.
