Sorry if a similar thread is posted elsewhere - I only saw one on shopping resolutions. So for a more general thread - the new year is only a couple days away, do you have any resolutions? How do you plan to stick to them?
My resolution is to have more faith in myself and to take more risks. Hmmm, how I plan to stick through that is to simply remind myself that life is too short!
I have the same resolution every year: try to make this year better than the last. It challenges me to constantly grow. Looking back on the past decades, I've come a long way and had so many amazing experiences. Sure there are life setbacks, but as long as I learn from them, I feel I'm better off than I was previously.
Go to more art galleries, museums and art events. I've been really detached from the art world since I moved one and a half year ago, and I need to explore more around here! My husband gave me a membership to a local art museum for my birthday, which means free access and invites to lots of events, to that's a good place to start.
In 2017, I am resolving to 1. eat a little more healthfully, 2. save money a little better than I have been, and 3. focus on making memories and having experiences rather than acquiring things (an approach I'm hoping to pass on to my kids by example). Happy New Year, everyone!
1. Learn to say no and go with my gut more such as stop to try and accommodate so much for other people
2. Continue with my exercise journey that I started last September
3. Let life flow instead of controlling it
