Last evening I was at our smallish town's annual Community Days/Fourth of July/Carnival event. Lots of people, lots of bad-for-you-but-tastes-great food, just a regular mix of middle America-type stuff.
While sitting watching the Tilt-O-Whirl and hearing the goat and ducks at the petting zoo area, a small group of people strolled by, eating corn dogs or whatever and nothing would have made me look twice at them except the guy of the group was wearing an orange Goyard St Louis tote on his shoulder. It looked like it had been used very well, a corner looked a bit rough. He was definitely no "fashion plate"--baggy cargo shorts, baggy t-shirt, flip flops but he was sporting that orange tote. I almost fell off the bench I was on, I've never seen a Goyard anything in the wild, especially in my town.
The friend I was with said maybe he got it at a Goodwill or Salvation Army store but I just knew that guy knew what he had. Kudos to "not-a-fashion-plate", but now I want one too! An orange one!
