YG not popular ? Jeager le coultre watches

Spoke to them this morning about a 18k YG watch with diamonds and am shocked that they are discontinuing most YG watches, I asked the reason for this and they told me they arent selling, people prefer rose gold???

Are people wearing rose gold watches with YG jewellery?

Wonder if Cartier are doing similar as its owned by the same company? it just sounds crazy to me......

Oh I hope not! I love yellow gold.

Mind you, I also like rose gold having only just got into it - it's very common over here. I don't like the look of rose & yellow together, but that's just my personal opinion.

White gold is not for me - I have weird skin that turns it almost black. Yuk!

Update** jeagar only have a handful of YG watches in their company apparently, looks like i'll have to go to cartier as I won't be making the purchases for a few months........

I too like rose gold, but dont own any - I wasnt planning on having a rose collection as well lol!

Yeah, I've been looking for a yellow gold watch too, but everything seems to be rose, which doesn't look great on my skin.

Rings are OK, but not watches.

Ah well, a good excuse to keep looking

All yellow gold or pink/red gold are not as popular as two tone because of it's second hand value. People tend to buy all steel or two tone due to higher resale value compared to all gold. Got such information from a reseller shop.

So if you are buying for the love of it and do not intend to sell it, it's worth much much more many years down the road as in you have to fork out more to get the same watch compared to two tone.

I am really starting to get into YG - just bought a gorgeous YG ring that I am completely obsessed with.

I'm not in the phase of my life where I can go all out for a YG watch, but if I could I certainly would! Either a Rolex ladies Pearlmaster or a Cartier Tankissime (sp? I'm not sure if this is even available anymore but I was completely obsessed with it when it first came out!).

Personally I have a two tone tank francais from Cartier and it is great because it does make it easier to have a collection of YG and WG jewellery.

bitten, thanks, i'll take a look at the watches you mention, I own a wg cartier now which I adore and have looked at the tanks and do like them very much - im not so familier with the Rolexes so I need to go and have a look when the time is right.
