Yet Another LV Repair Nightmare

I don't know much about the style, but if it was only a few crystals that had fallen off, couldn't you have done it yourself? I would never trust anybody to do a job like that, because usually it ends up worse off, like going to the tailor or the dry-cleaners. You can buy glue and Swarovski crystals from a bead shop, unless of course these LV crystals were very special? Probably an SA did it!

That's horrible! I wonder if there's a difference between repair service in the US and Europe. All the repair horror stories here seem to mainly originate in the US.

I have a LeFab bag and one of the studs came off. The LV store here in Stockholm said it would take max. 3 months and no more than $100 (still ridiculously expensive). They sent if off to Paris and it only took 3 weeks and was free! I was so happy, I ended up buying a new charm when I picked it up..so they got my money anyhow.... ;)

You should definitely get a refund--or at least store credit!

Wow, you are so lucky! I wish I got repairs for free!

To the OP, I'm really sorry this happened. I've had nothing but good experiences with repairs, but I feel that such poor jobs are becoming more prevalent. Hopefully you can demand some sort of refund or a free repair. That is just ridiculous.

I am so sorry thisis happening to you, it's utterly ridiculous. For a company who charges such high prices for the luxury items they sell- the repairs, repair SERVICE and the expertise and care of the repair people should be top quality. You are not getting that and you should definately get something off the total repair price, call the company, management and all that like someone said earlier. PLUS on a limited items such as the one you have it should be even more so cared for. This really disappoints me about LV.:cursing: *hugs* I hope it all works out, keep us posted.

Thanks everyone for your support and good wishes. I really appreciate it. The bag is on its way back to LV Repairs to fix their mistake. I won't have to pay for the second time since its their error, but according to the SA, I still will have to pay the original $150 because she says that charge is really for the materials used to repair the bag, but not for the actual labor. And thankfully so, since in my opinion the labor was not even worth 1 dollar!
