I bought this capucines on a whim yesterday. I saw a picture of it when it was first released and thought it was beautiful and after trying it on I was really smitten.

It then occurred to me today that the embroidery kind of looks like mold and maybe the bag is too busy. I can’t tell if I’m just seeing this because it was an impulse buy and I’m justifying a reason to return it or if it’s a stunning bag that I should keep. Help!

Oh...it seems you are having buyer's remorse. Very natural.

But you loved it at first sight and then were "smitten" when you tried it on before the purchase. So, did those feeling completely vanish?

It doesn't look like mold to me, but I agree with Cattyyellow that if you feel it is too busy, you won't use...and it will be wasted in your closet.

Go with your gut.

I think it's so stunning, so special and a real collector's piece.

The embroidery is beautifully done, not at all like mould.

It's eye-catching, a showpiece, but basically a neutral. Just make it the focal point of a cocktail or occasion outfit and rock it :rochard:

From your avatar, it looks like you enjoy high contrast motif bags.
Can you picture yourself carrying this beautiful bag?
Can you easily afford it?
Do what is best for you.
Stunning combination, imo:flowers:

If you're thinking it's too busy, then maybe get another Capucines? Maybe something more simple and not with similar embroidery? I love the Capucines, and think it's a special bag, but if you're having buyer's remorse, then perhaps you should return it. Like others have said, it's too expensive of a bag to have doubts, which will most likely end up staying in your closet unused.
