I agree; this is long overdue! Nothing drives me crazy like having the tv at a comfortable volume, and then all of a sudden a commercial starts blaring way louder than what I have the tv volume set at. Too bad the rule doesn't take effect right away; the sooner the better for me on this one lol.

^Yeah, it looks like it won't fully take effect until this time next year. Better late than never, but I agree, it's long overdue.

Thank Goodness! I think they are trying to pass something similar here in Germany, it's badly needed!

Now if they would just limit the amount of commercials during a program, the tampering with closing credits of programs and the overlap of one program over another (running closing credits of one and opening scenes of another in small windows simultaneously).

It will probably go into effect on December 21, 2012. Great. We haven't noticed much difference yet here.
