It was Lulu Guiness bags that got me into the designer bag thing in the first place! I have two of her collectables - one is shaped like a silver castle and the other is the french bordello handbag. They are fab - the roof lifts off on both of them to make the bag. I have used them extensivley at weddings and they get soooo many comments. The collectables come in limited numbers - either 500 or 200 and are numbered but I also have some of her normal range - one is baguette shaped with a choclate shop on the front with all the sweets, cakes and chocs embroidered in the "window".
She has two shops here in London - one in Ellis street, Chelsea and one in the Royal Exchange in the city of London if you ever visit London. I have actually met Lulu herself when she did a signing at Chelsea and signed the labels of several of my bags - she's tiny and dresses in a really 1950's style which I think you can see reflected in her cute bags. She complemented me on my skirt which was quite cool!
They're not to everyones taste but I love them - I think they are so unique and very eccentric in a typically british way. As a matter of interest she is not a member of the Guiness family herself but married into them - she is now divorced I think.
