X on the back of made in England label

  3. They don't have any particular relevance. Mulberry have advised different things at different points; one that it denotes the year or season in which the bag was made and the other that it is a craftsman's code. An X is no more significant on the rear of the made in label that any other digit combination. Indeed, there may not even be a made in label or that label may not have anything on the reverse.
     
  4. Yes thank you very much. I thought it might have something to do with the year of the bag but cannot find any information as to what letters denotes what year for those bags that have them on the back of the made in label..
