would YSL shorten a shoulder strap

I have a small shoulder bag, a bit like a baguette. I don't know the name but it's made entirely out of fabric. I'd prefer the shoulder strap to be 1 or 2 inches shorter. IS it likely that they'd alter it for me, or would they think such an alteration would ruin the style?

I don't know if they would alter it or not . . . but I would not do it unless I never planned to sell it.

I wouldn't do it. You ruin the value in it and I really tend to doubt YSL would do it, but you never know.

If you don't plan to sell it or anything ever, you could take it to a cobbler and see what they could do.
