Would you take a bag with vachetta on vacation as your only handbag?

I asked last week about which bag I should bring to Las Vegas, thank you for all the responses. The most popular choice was the SpeedyB 25 in mono. I am slightly concerned traveling with that as my only handbag. Would you all take only this? Or another bag? Or both? TIA!

I usually take 2 or 3 bags when I travel, more when it’s a 3-6 week vacation. If you’re flying, I suggest taking a low-maintenance bigger bag. I usually use Longchamp or a Neverfull for this, then you can use the SpeedyB when you’re out and about. Vachetta? It never stopped me regardless of where I’m going unless I know it’s rainy season at my destination.

When I go on vacation I bring one nice day bag and one not so nice day bag just to have my bases covered. If I dont feel like bringing two will just bring one that is good in all weather.

I would also bring a clutch if you plan on eating anywhere fancy though.

For me, I wouldn't mind making history with the bag.
Agreed. I just ordered a My Heritage Speedy B 35 and my carry on bag and other times when I want more security than a NF offers. I was going to go with the DE, but I've never really been a huge DE fan. I've told myself I'm going to embrace patina as it comes and I won't get hung up using this vachetta bag. It will be memories with this bag.

Thank you for all your input. I try not to be too hung up on the vachetta, but don’t take it out if I know it is going to rain. I think I will bring it and also my PA, which is old and I use consistently in the rain. Thank you! Would you be ok folding the speedy for the trip, or would you pack it open in your carry on? So many issues to travel with these bags .
