Would you spray water repellent on your chanel?

i just wanna share my experiences, i used leather cleaner and conditioner from apple garde to my chanels and balenciagas, so far i used to my bubble quilt in khaki and it works fine, BUT when i use it to my bubble gum balenciaga, it leaves some YELLOW stain which i tried n tried to clean but its there hiks. Now i want to use the SPRAY rain repellent thingy but i am scared, does this rain repellent from apple garde also protects bags from oil or pen marks?

Scotchguard has silicone in it and will make the leather dry out prematurely. I use the Apple....it does not have silicone, will not change the color, and will not dry the leather out while protecting it from water marks and stains.
