Hi all - I am debating on selling around 3 bags to fund for a Medium Classic Flap

- Chanel Mini Black Lambskin w/ Silver Hardware
- VINTAGE Chanel Classic Flap Beige Lamb with Gold Hardware
- LV Croisette in DE

Based on research and some fashionphile quotes, I would get around 7k for this. and if I sell to Fashionphile, I'd go with the NM credit to help offset with CA tax!

I love my beige classic flap BUT haven't really reached for it. Although, I did purchase this in Nov of 2019 and then pandemic hit in 2020. I purchased the mini and croisette in Europe a few years ago, so I'd break even on the croisette or would make a slight profit off the mini or again break even, since I purchased in Europe before for about $2800/$3000. Has anyone sold this many bags for a classic flap? Was it worth it or regret doing so? I'm pretty minimal in general aside from my slight bag addiction haha.

On another note, I would definitely go medium classic with black caviar. I think I'd go with gold hardware, although, I think silver might be more practical. I definitely would want this to be a bag, I love and use a lot.

I would sell the LV and the vintage, but that’s Bc I’m bot a fan of either. I think it’s fine to sell bags you aren’t using for a new bag. I have a beige Claire caviar jumbo flap in barely used co diction from 2016 that I could sell now for more than I paid. I’m waiting until next years price increase to get either a trendy or classic flap with it

I’d say yes if you’re not really using any of it. I’ve done it in the past and was worried that I might regret but never felt that way. Hope you love the medium classic flap! :)

I would say go for it. I have a ml classic flap in shw and it's my go-to everyday, favorite bag, and I don't regret the bags I've sold to help fund it a single bit! minimalistic collection building where every piece has its place and they all get used is what I'm striving for as well in my purchasing these days! I hope you make the best decision for you!

I sold a few bags to buy a Birkin and it was so worth it. I found that having something super special offsets the joy of multiple nice (but not special) bags.

thank you all. I'm definitely in no rush to sell, but if I do this, I'd definitely want to do it before the next price increase. I wish I would have purchased back in 2019 when my sister was abroad on vacation, but she couldn't locate a caviar one. however, you can't look back too much! I usually like to buy my bags abroad, but don't see that happening for a looooong time, too. Plus, by the time we could go, prices would go up again!

I wouldn't. You said you don't use the vintage flap you already have so it wouldn't make sense to get another more expensive version of the same item. That's my take anyway - GL

I don’t use because of the beige/lambkin combination. A little more delicate than caviar/black. As much as I live gold, I’m leaning towards silver hardware for the medium flap as I think it’s more causal.

i wouldn’t sell any of the three unless you feel 100% done with the bag. I've only had one mild regret selling a bag, but I'll think about the cons of that bag and that tiny regret goes away. The others, I was 100% done with.

I love both Chanel and LV and both work for different occasions. LV canvas to me is way less fussy than Chanel, and the Croisette in DE can be dressed up or down (although I can't remember if it's the bond street or the croisette that people complained about the handle only stays upright making it uncomfortable worn crossbody?). Since you got it abroad a few years ago you got a great deal compared to the pricing now. Same with your beautiful lamb mini. if you let the mini go and decide later you really miss having one (which so many people love the black and silver hw combo), you’ll probably have to pay over $1k or more than what you originally bought it for a couple of years ago. And mini's these days can be hard to come by if bought new. And it sounds like you really won't get much use out of the vintage beige as you stated above you feel it's more delicate with it being beige/lamb. If there's one to let go the beige sounds like it's the one. You can always watch the resell sites for you M/L CF. Although, their prices at times are as high or higher than the boutique brand new. Best of luck in your decision.

Same am not fan of vintage or lv but for sure if i were u would not sell Mini rectangle.
If possible save for couple of months and sell only these 2?

These are the bags. After taking them out, I think it’s definitely going to be hard!
I think I’m pretty set on the croisette to go. It’s actually really comfy and easy to use but always reach for my speedy instead of that one.

The other two are tough...not sure I’m there yet. I think I’ll try wearing the mini out, but right now that on my grocery/errand runs haha

I’m in no rush, so definitely time to think about/save.
