Would you like Gucci Marmont with shiny gold hardware?

I really like Marmont flap very much but everytime I see it in the shop its antique hardware look too dark and matt for me. I don’t think it shoud be too bright either but those bags I’ve seen look really old and tired because of it, especially black ones. Maybe it looks better with nude? That’s the reason I got Padlock instead thougt its hardware is a bit too yellow. On this photo it got blurry when entered into a warm room.

I like the darker hardware but I see what you mean about making the bag look a bit brighter with a warm gold hardware....

I like the hardware on Marmont the way it is but I would prefer it to be brighter.

I think they used the original 1960s GG logo hardware (matte brass). It has the same tapered ends of the Gs.

A few years ago Gucci used the shinier, lighter hw on the GG Running line (using the 1970s squarer typography). If you wanted to you could look for those instead if you really wanted to.

The Padlock style dates back to the 1950s though it's re-launched every decade. For me = I just this design anyway.

My boyfriend liked Padlock much more than Marmont so I changed my mind maybe because of him too. But next time I’ll ask for Marmont flap in nude, maybe I’d like matte brass on it more than on black. Waiting for them to release those bags in shinier hardware may take forever. My sister thinks Dionysus looks like I got some ancient bag. I’m afraid Marmont line could look very dated in a few years because of hw but maybe it isn’t a bag which could stand much wear anyway. I just know I still want Marmont flap very much

Yes, I would like it in bright gold. And I would LOVE it in shampagne colored metal!
