I just purchased these flats I LOVE from Nordstrom rack. They were one of two pairs in the store (the other was not my size). They have two imperfections, both of which are the patent coating pulled away from the stitching. It looks like they shouldn't get worse, the photo actually looks worse than in person. I spoke to a manager who said I have 90 days to return them, even if I wear them, and they will refund my money because they would consider then defective. They were $250 full price, I paid $170.

I think $170 is still pretty high for an imperfect pair, it's not like you are buying a $1000 pair of Valentino or CL, and they have been reduced drastically! You can do better. There are a lot of great sales going on right now.

Thanks for the replies. I slept on it and I'm going to return them later today. I see a lot of the department stores and even TB is having shoe sales. I will check out those...

If the imperfections bug you now, they will bug you later, too. Unless you see if you can negotiate an additional price reduction with them AND feel peace with them.

Otherwise, I'd return them. There will be other opportunities for good shoe purchases.
