18ct Antique Lapis Ring - handmade, one of a kind......

I'll be honest, I love the scroll work and the fact that's is handmade is amazing.. However, I'm not a fan of the stone. A but dull in color for me. (no offense) If somethings gonna take up my whole finger, for me personally I'd like it to be a stone I'm really crazy for. Just my opinion of course!! :flowers:

It could be because the stone is opaque and doesn't have any faceting? Usually stones like jade, jasper, turquoise, and lapis lazuli are opaque and most of the time they are considered "southwestern jewelry stones." With the exception of turquoise and jade, I don't see opaque stones too often on other people. Maybe once in a while. I think faceted stones are way more popular in comparison.

OP: I would consider getting this ring, but I have to agree with Missy. I think I would want a faceted stone in the 18k setting. I think the scroll work is beautiful. I don't think this ring would fit my style. However, I'm very glad that you got this ring and I hope it is very gorgeous on your hand! Enjoy your ring. :yahoo:
