Would you exchange it for another? It looks like the sealant they use. Also, bag has a chemical smell. It's mild I think. I'm coming down with a cold and I have a sinus headache so my smell may be off. I'm going to have my friend check it out.
I know I sound anal. It's just the way I am. I take very good care of my bags. My freinds always want to buy my bags because they know how I am.

If that sealant spot is smack dab on the front, I'd probably exchange it myself. Especially being a light color, it is most likely noticeable. In regards to the smell, I'd try to air it a out for a few days, if it is still really strong- yes!

If you notice it and it bothers you, try to exchange it because it will always draw your eye and make you wish you had done something about it. No matter what you spend, it's too much if you aren't happy. :)

It was ordered for me at my Coach store from Jax. This is why I dislike ordering from website. This is 3rd time item had issues. First time was a pilot Warm Khaki Needlepoint Phoebe. There was a big mark on leather. SA said it wasn't acceptable and re-ordered another one. 2nd time was my black Borough. It came with a bad chemical smell. SA exchanged it for the only one they had in the store. This is the 3rd time. Now that I think of it, every time I've had something ordered from the website I end up exchanging it.

If nothing else, just explain to them that the chemical smell, evident in this bag just like the Burough, is giving you a headache. You don't really OWE them an apology, but if you're like me, you can apologize for the trouble and just tell them that you've been having sensitivities lately to scents bringing about headaches. ;)

I have the same type of spot on the back of one of my boroughs. In the end I decided I didn't feel like sending it back, but that spot definitely bothered me for a while - exchange if you can, but if you can't, then you likely won't notice the spot after using the bag for a while.

Wow, three in a row? I'd be unhappy too! When I got my Legacy Pebbled Drawstring in eggplant, the first one I got from JAX had what appeared to be stretch marks on the front panel! It was so odd. Luckily, my store had since gotten a shipment, and I was able to switch it out with a much better one in person.

I hate getting anything online that doesn't come pristine, unless you know you are buying used/defective.

If it's sealant - or sometimes glue - it can usually be rubbed, and rolled off with your finger. (hope that makes sense - like the glue-like stuff they use to stick new credit cards to the paper - how you can just roll it off). I've done that with many Coach bags.... if that doesn't work, pain that it is, I'd exchange - because like another said - your eye will always be drawn to that spot. Sorry this happened to you... even little spots diminish the excitement of a new bag. Love your new bag though!
