I frequently buy skincare like body lotion/sunscreen/other personal hygiene products from Amazon out of convenience, but most of the time I make sure to buy direct from Amazon, not a third party vendor. I know someone who bought Supergoop from a third party vendor and then was notified by Amazon a few months later that the product they purchased was counterfeit. There was also a story in the news a few months ago about a woman who was arrested in California because she had an extensive theft ring (she sent people into shops like Sephora and Ulta to shoplift) and she sold like over $8 million worth of goods in her Amazon store over the last 10 years!
@sdkitty if the products are sold by Amazon directly, most likely it's ok. (Hopefully!) Sometimes I also buy from Target.com and have noticed their prices can actually be cheaper depending on the item. (also have to make sure it's coming directly from Target.) I just don't have time (or patience) to physically go to the stores so online shopping is easiest for me.
