Hi all, I’d love some advice! I’m thinking of buying a bag I’ve eyed up for ages, but never pulled the trigger. It has the empty circle on the Louis Vuitton internal label indicating an employee purchase. It’s a good price but I’m worried about having an employee purchased bag as I do sometimes sell on bags if I don’t use them or fall out of love with them. Does anyone have any advice on such purchases? Any advice greatly appreciated!

As long as there was nothing wrong with the bag I would buy it. if you are worried about resale, many resellers know about the circle stamp and show it when posting. I have seen some on Yoogis and they had put that in the description and/or they have shown a picture of it..

@LVlvoe_bug thank you, I don’t think I’d be selling it but you never know! As long as I didn’t take a huge hit on it I wouldn’t mind. I’m thinking of letting go of a couple of pieces as I just don’t use them but I’m being tempted by this!

You’re welcome! I think it depends on the bag what kind of hit you may take. I’m intrigued what bag it is!?I would have no issue buying an employee bag if I was happy with the condition and knew it was authentic…

I buy a lot of preowned purses through resale sites like Yoogi's Closet and Fashionphile and when I am eyeing a bag, I actually love it when I see it's been employee-owned or purchased on sale. The reason is that I feel extra confident it's the real thing and not a fake that perhaps slipped through even the careful eyes of these professionals. (Because what kind of counterfeiter would add that stamp...) In terms of resale, I only sell to third-party sites (vs. selling directly to buyers), and I figure the stamp is not taken into account when they set the buyout or consignment price.

It’s a bag I think others don’t love! It’s the Boite Chapeau Souple LV x LOL I just love the colours and the black leather trim instead of vachetta! I’m very excited, I’ve almost bought it in 24S a few times but pulled back so when it popped up at almost half the price I did it! :giggle:
