I have some Clarks sandals I wear all the time in the summer. I like the look of them and they are very comfortable. I have two pair in black and three pair in taupe. One of the taupe pairs is worn - other two are in VG condition. These are from a few seasons ago and for some reason they popped up on amazon, brand new in the taupe color for a very low price. I know I don't need another pair but this is tempting. Must be a fluke as they only have one pair and it happens to be in my size.
Any thoughts?

Absolutely buy and warehouse until needed. I do this with Birkenstocks and Doc Martens. Important, bc what if they discontinue your preferred style or color. (I try to rotate so as to avoid excessive wear)

I would buy them. I always buy backups of shoes that I love and wear all the time, especially when they go on sale. Sometimes I regret it (get sick of the style). But usually not. Seems like quality deteriorates over the years for many brands and it's great to have a good-quality version of a shoe you love stashed in the closet.

When you buy the shoes be sure to try them on and examine them carefully when they arrive. I've found that often I'll order Z-shoe in X-size in the same-color-as-always and the fit of the arriving shoe is very different from my original shoe. And the construction can be as well! In fact it's crazy how much difference there can be between shoes that are supposedly identical. This is true even among high-end brands.

I've been trying to buy them along with some other stuff on amazon. but I don't have prime. usually if I spend enough they give me free shipping but today apparently there is some problem with the system and it's not working. they said I could buy and they would refund the shipping or I can wait for them to fix it. I keep trying.

my first inclination was not to buy them since I have three pair in that color already....then I decided the price was so great, I'd get them. now I can't seem to get free shipping so not sure...price is still good with shipping but not the smokin deal I thought it would be
You sound like me. It is never the deal that I thought, but we do the best that we can.

I was ready to buy them on amazon when I realized they were from an outside vendor and shipping was $15....still a good deal but since I have three pair in this color already plus two in black, I only wanted them for the great deal, maybe not for the good deal.
I sent the seller a question as to whether they are actually available since they have been saying they only have one pair for days now

there is also a new pair on Poshmark...more money but I have credit to spend there.
Thinking about it but hard to get excited over a dupe if you KWIM

I got the NWT pair on Poshmark. I need a fourth pair of the same shoes like a hole in the head but the price was too good to pass up and they're so comfortable. I've semi-retired the oldest pair. so now I'll rotate the three that are in better shape and probably occasionally wear the old ones when I'm walking a lot as they're more broken in.
