Would this bother you?

1ST. please note that I neglected to clean my ring prior to taking pic Now would the gaps between my center stone and it's halo bother you? My center stone is 1ct, surrounded by 3.5ct, and band is .75ct. I have to admit that it bothers me, and wanted to get your opinion .... Am I being anal, or this is perfectly acceptable?

Personally, it would bother me. It's a beautiful ring, but I like the halo to touch the center stone so it's one fluid piece.

It would bother me, but a lot of that is how it's done. In order to avoid that, the prongs would have to be part of the halo bezel, or it would have to be bezeled with the halo as well. If that makes sense. It almost looks like the halo was added to an existing ring after the fact which almost never works. If it ever does.

haha glad I'm not the only one! Yeah, I think the only thing that might bother me is that if there was a hole in between, it may gather more dirt and gunk...

Yup. That's the issue. The prongs don't allow the halo with the smaller stones to sit flush with the center stone. Not a huge issue, I agree, but many don't prefer it.
