It's true, it adds glamour. But I'm not afraid of China as many are, we've always worn something made in China but didn't bother before, i think we're now much more careful on this than some years ago. I wear some clothes made in China, or stuff from Zara made in Cambodja, and they're sometimes better than other "made in Italy" dresses I own! But maybe for a bag it's different (of course only for bag addicted like us!) But, as anne was stating, if the Chinese bag are made by hand, it shouldn't bother us
