Would Cartier work/service on a non authentic piece?

I purchased a preowned but never used 2016 love bangle lately and took it to the Cartier boutique for engraving service.
It took them about 3 weeks & I finally got my bangle back the other day.
SA even gave me a free travel pouch along with my service receipt (it was free of charge).

I would think if the craftsman found something wrong with it, they would not have serviced it! Can I assure this bangle is authentic now?

I heard about so many fake love bangle lately... I just want to make sure Cartier won't do work on fake items...

Perhaps. They usually check if it's authentic or not beforehand by referencing the serial number in their data base. But with the level of fakes nowadays, who knows. I've had SA tell me in the past that they never do repairs on items that are fake. So take that with a grain of salt.
