Worth the price for lindy?

My friend is selling me her swift 30cm M stamp black lindy. The condition is good except for some impressed mark inside and outside bottom of bag. She wanted to sell me at USD4200 for it. I'm still deciding as I've checked and found swift leather is harder to maintain than Clamence? Is that true? Is the price she's selling me consider cheap and reasonable?

Hi there! The price is well below retail and resale shops in my area tend to sell lindys for much more. I think that swift is a wonderful leather for the lindy and a bit more rare than clemence .The price is good, but do you love the bag? I find that the lindy is a great light weight bag and in neutral colors, it can easily be dressed up or down. If you love this bag and know it to be authentic, I say go for it! If possible, try it on to be sure you like where it hits you and if it is comfortable to carry. Best wishes on your decision!:smile1:

If you want to know the worth price for swift, it is more than clemence. Like LuckyLove said, your friend's price is below boutique price, and way below resellers'. This swift is in black, and I wouldn't worry too much for care either. This is a good deal.

Between Clemence and Swift, it really depends on individual preference.
I personally like smooth leather so Swift is my preference. I strongly recommend to do a bit of reading about Swift leather in here. It's a much more durable leather than you think. :-) And you can't go wrong with black.
If you are certain about its authenticity than it's a nice bag to have. Good luck on your decision.

Thanks for all the input. I like the bag and I got to view already. Just kind of disappointed when I saw the impressed mark inside thats got me wonder about the leather. My heart tells me the clemance leather looks more classy but the price is killing me even from reseller. though I like this, i think The price will only be the reason if I buy. Hmmm I'm really lost or should I wait and save later for clemence?



Definitely will send in the pictures here before buying.

Personally I think swift looks classier than clemence which I feel looks more casual. The press marks inside have nothing to do with whether its swift or clemence... (if authentic) that sounds like a good price... But if you prefer clemence and will keep obsessing about the press marks, might be better to wait for a brand new bag.. Good luck!

totally agree! swift feels and looks very luxe compared to clemence.

Even if it's a great price, if it doesn't make your heart sing, don't do it. Save for the bag your really want, negotiate with resellers or buy on layaway. Don't buy it just to buy. Swift tends to show wear, scratches and dirt more than clemance. I prefer clemance to swift.
