Worst SA ever!

That is so freaken rude and snotty sounds to me like she was stuck up SA an needs to be taught a lesson people have no rite to treat anyone like that regardless If it was a fake or not. That just boggles my mind on what kind of world we live in. Sorry to hear about that I hope you get it resolved that is just not acceptable at all.

OP, sorry to they did this to you. If you feel that you have been wronged, then you should talk to the manager.

However, I think that we have to take a step back and consider that some customers can be very rude to the SAs themselves. I onced witnessed a lady carrying a fake vernis alma (colour was off - very orange) demanded LV fixed a loose stitching when she was told that the bag was not LV, she caused a big scene.

Actually they do have a right to ask someone to leave if they feel they are carrying a fake. A store actually has a right to serve any customer they wish, or to ask anyone to leave. I have seen my local boutique ask someone to leave that was carrying a fake. Doesn't happen often. I was in the boutique on Sunday and saw a woman carrying a fake LV pochette groom wallet in yellow of all things. They didn't ask her to leave, but she sure didn't get the royal treatment.

Sorry this happened to you!

I have never heard of anyone getting kicked out of a LV boutique for possibly carrying a fake bag. I understand the right to serve or not serve any customer, but calling security and escorting someone out is a bit much. The next time I go to a LV boutique I am going to inquire about their policy.

Pretty, pretty, sad.

I actually have two fake LV's (a pochette accessoires and a ribera mini) from consignment stores and I've been scared to take them out anywhere (I actually thought you could get arrested for having them, like possession of drugs, is that true?)

I had a chance to have a close look and feel of some real ones my friend has and the canvas looks and feels identical - so I think an SA is taking a big risk to accuse someone of having a fake. We could only tell by the inside (mine had faux suede linings and sadly I have to say they are still way better quality than any other bag I've ever had).

My friend asked me how I knew mine were fakes and I said the pochette has "cut LVs" and I looked up the style number of the other on the Internet - she didn't even know those things!

i am 100% that it is not LV policy to remove people for having a fake bag... this is worse because your bag was real!!

you should complain and take it all the way to the top.

"taught a lesson"? I disagre, wholeheartedly. I mean, call and complain about being embarassed, sure. But that phrasing makes it sound vengeful and childish.

I believe that LV SA's are told not to do anything if they see a fake. If they are asked to repair it they are supposed to quietly say something like "I'm sorry we can't work on this as it's not our product."

A lot of SA's don't even know when they see a fake.

However - I think the reactions from people on theis thread are a little insane -- Although this story is awful I think people are getting a little angry over something an anonymous person is saying on the internet.

No one knows if this happened or not -- so, suggest what the OP can do - but don't get all riled up over something we know nothing about ;)

a SA at their own boutique can not tell the differences when they see their stuffs that many everyday?.....

I like to hear the other side of story

They have the right to refuse serving any clients whom they feel uncomfortably to serve.

wow didn't know that! I worked in the high-end-sector during my first studies and actually we were only allowed to ask weirdos (like men smelling high-heels and funny other stuff) to leave the store. . . but probably every store and every country has it's own rules. still I think the behavior of the SA is not acceptable. even if the bag would have been fake. . . that doesn't mean that some one isn't a good customer. . . I mean we all know the thread about celebs with fakes who own authentic stuff too. . .
I don't want to say fakes are ok, because they just are not. . .hope you get my point:smile:

Right - esp a first-time poster's "recollection" of the events.

i will say that i have had some HORRID expriences with an white male SA at Garden State Plaza, where he threaten to have me removed because he is a jerk. i complained all the way to top. in my journey of complaining to top i found that both before AND after i compained others have had problems with this person, including lying to customers about repair costs and making women cry by bullying them.

i spoke with his direct manager and the reginal manager and he is STILL WORKING THERE.

to me i believe just about anything i hear about the bad SAs at LV because i know first hand that LV does not take customer complaints seriously. I know that they look at the complaints, they look at the video, they confirm customer stories and then IGNORE THEM.

based on my experience, there is very little i would not put past LV SA's.

NOT ALL LV SAs are like that. My SA at Macy's 34th Street is sooo sweet to me and always makes time for me. but without weeding out the bad apples, they continue to mistreat customers. I am certain that about 2% of all LV SAs account for 98% of the bad SA horror stories. but LV is fully at fault for not taking customer complaints seriously and getting rid of these bad apples.

LV SA's have insulted and offended me on so many occasions I am immune to it at this point. I went into bloomingdales asking to see the sarah wallet and the woman told me it wasn't on sale or anything. I'd definitely complain to someone but honestly, I doubt anything will happen to the chick- maybe a stern talking to at most. Sorry about the way you were treated
