I bought some items pre-loved, basically so that I could use them. I don't use my new things, because I don't want them to get damaged or worn out.

I got a Sarah wallet, and you can tell she's been loved. The top where it opens, some of the stitching is out and the leather has worn. You can also tell where the credit cards were used in the front part of the wallet. It's not horrible, but you can tell she hasn't been placed lovingly in a duster every night.

Is it okay to carry these items when they are starting to show signs of wear? Or, is it an insult to the brand?

She still makes me very happy when I get her out of my Coach bag.

Of course it's ok to carry the Sarah wallet, especially if it makes you happy when you take it out of your purse.

You said you purchased the pre-loved items to use them...so go ahead and do it.

Where's the pic??

Of course it's okay to wear items that show wear, that's the whole point! Bags and SLGs aren't meant to look like they belong in a museum, they are for you to wear and enjoy!

I think a bit of wear is fine, in many cases I actually like it - it adds character. Using things that are falling apart is quite another matter, but if you still love the wallet then definitely keep using it!

Yes for sure use them! I do understand though. I need a bag to store all of the junk that floats around my purse. Instead of using the beautiful pochette nm I already own, I'm searching eBay for an old used pochette in working condition so I won't have to worry if my lipstick or hand cream gets on it. It is a little crazy really

LOL ...she's not falling apart. Just in the back there are some stitches missing around the sides where she shuts and two stitches are loose along the back where the back money compartment is.

I think I can get another 3-4 years out of her. I don't carry much in my wallets. Just money and cards, and I only carry 2 credit cards.

I could actually get away with just using a cles as my wallet, but don't tell my husband that!

Why don't you have a repair specialist to see how much it will cost to repair? Maybe repairing threading will make you worry less and more apt n using them. I know how u feel because preloved or not its still a lot of money. Bottom line enjoy!

I don't think anyone else (SAs, people behind you in line) will look closely enough to know it's not in perfect condition. If it bothers you, you may be able to fix it yourself and if not then a shoe repair place (assuming you don't want to spend the amount LV would charge to fix it).

Why don't you use your 'new' LV items? I use all my things, my feeling is if I died someone would just throw them out or give them away, so if I don't use and enjoy them what's the point of buying them?
