I’m in desperate need of a new work backpack. I live in NYC so I need something waterproof/washable, lightweight, has tons of pockets (c’mon who doesn’t like to organize), holds a bunch of stuff + laptop and is stylish. I like the look of both the Dagne Dover Dakota Large and the Tumi Carson. If you had choose, which one would you go with? If anyone owns either, would love to hear your experience! I do own several travel Tumi totes etc—I love the fabric and the quality but not always a fan of the price tag—and I’ve never purchased anything by Dagne Dover before—I work in a highly creative field and feel like this one is a little more sporty/funky, which is a reflection of my personality.

Please help I’m terribly indecisive! I’m also open to other suggestions. TIA!

I’m not a fan of neoprene so my vote goes to Tumi. Also Tumi has 5 year warranty. Maybe you can check Tumi outlet and see if there is anything similar with a lower price tag.

I like the Tumi as well. It's great quality and in the long run, very much worth the price tag. There are SO many backpacks on sale right now, even a Carson, so I'd go check out the sale page!

My personal choice for a city backpack is Pacsafe CitySafe 350, which also has some safety features.

Thanks everyone for chiming in. I ended up ordering both to take a look at them in person! I found the Tumi on sale at Bloomingdales for $299 so even if I keep that one, I feel better knowing I was able to get $75 off and loyalty points. Hopefully I’m able to decide once they both arrive [emoji23]
