wondering about controllato???

I asked about this before and no one really knew. But with the help of a few posters, we came to the conclusion Controllato meant Inspected?.. So maybe how when things come with an inspection sticker, maybe the Controllato card just means it was inspected for quality control. I don't think we thought it was an authentication tool. That's just what I took it to be.
