I know this gets discussed every fall, but i’m Interested to hear what others have to say about winter white bags for autumn 2018?
As a new season settles upon us . . . I’m thinkin’. . . hmmm. . . maybe. . . If I can find a nice winter white coat. . . Anyone else have plans for a white winter?

I think winter white looks great with similar tones. It also looks yummy with caramel, deep dusty rose, warm taupes and chocolate. So I’m all yes for winter white.

Not as much a fan when it’s paired with black, navy and other bold colors (unless they’re accents). Those can cause the winter white to “read” simple white and lose some of the beauty.

I find winter white coats lovely to see, but I choose darker ones or I'd worry about keeping it clean. I have one white bag and plan wear it this winter. It should make a great backdrop for a pretty scarf or charm. I'm still not using charms much; so this will give me a chance to try them out more.

I'm actually not huge into neutrals in the winter. Seattle is always grey in the winter and everyone is almost *afraid* of color, so I bring a breath of fresh air by wearing something large(handbag or coat) in a bright color. I have this really wonderful peacock blue tweed overcoat that always gets a ton of compliments.

If you wanna do something different: Bright red. It's perfect in winter because it's *so* unexpected.

Your peacock coat sounds gorgeous! A small red purse is on my wish list.

Good question.

I recently chose ivory tone border, on hermes shawl (A Travers Champs, 140cm, rouge/violet/vert).

Might become spill-magnet, might not.
But colors said, "autumn & winter" to me.

Thanks for the hearty laugh, please stay true to your name and remain silly!
I like to wear white, it is rather easy with completely white shirts, just add special stuff to the laundry. But white as part of a pattern or scarf, that calls for trouble...

Oh, that shawl will be absolutely stunning for fall! Hahah, and yes, of course all eventual coffee- or chocolate stains will unavoidably end up right there on the gorgeous ivory border! I have no explanation why, that's just how the universe works! Anyway, it will look just as good with a little brown stains on it. No worries.

And yes, I actually googled "winter white" and it seems to be defined as white with a yellow tint to it (one source claimed it could also be white with a greyish tint to it), just like ivory. So, yes, you are absolutely correct about your lovely scarf being autumn and winter approved, and extra thanks to it's beautiful winter white boarder! :flowers:

I wear winter white, my winter coat is also white, but not a stark white color. More of an eggshell hue. But I also wear a winter coat, if I am lucky, one weekend or week a year, so it doesn't get dirty. The bag I wear in the winter is my Coach 1941 Rogue satchel in Chalk. It looks beautiful with burgundy, browns, greys, and taupe.
