Will Tiffany's let me return or only exchange??

Hi ladies! I'm new to this forum but I have a problem!! So my boyfriend bought me a pair of tiffany earrings for my birthday but he bought them a few months in advance when he had the money to get my gift taken care of. However, he didn't know that I already own the same pair of earrings and I barely wear them. :\ So My question is, would Tiffany's allow him to return the earrings which are unworn with original receipt even though it's past the 30 day period?? Or would they most likely only allow an exchange??? I would exchange but none of their other pieces appeal to me right now since I already have a lot of jewelry! Thanks a lot!!

I think they will just allow the exchange. Or you can probably obtain a merchandise credit in the form of a gift card.
