The salt and sand/salt mix that is put on the pavements and roads will eat into the leather.
My advice if you're thinking of a planned party or indoor event, just take them along and change.
Most aces are white so the salt streaks won't show as badly but others beware, even when leather dries out naturally the salt stains will remain.
