will cartier price decrease soon?

Since the gold price goes down and also economy is not as good as before, do you guys think that the cartier price goes down? They have already decreased the price in April, I guess it will decrease again later this year.

Luxury brands either increase their prices or let them settle for a while, then increase.
This is how they keep their goods away from the masses and keep their label in the luxury segment.

Actually US Cartier had a 5% decrease on their products due to USD being stronger than euro, I think. But at least it was a decrease! LOL

Hi Everyone,

I read online Van Cleef and Arples reduced their prices on all fine jewellery to compensate for their fluctuating euro and pounds.

There was another post somewhere in the Cartier forum that Cartier in Hong Kong recently reduced their prices too.

Has anyone heard if there will be a price reduction in Australia?

HKD is pegged to USD, so I would think if Cartier adjusted the prices down because of strengthening of usd then likewise they would adjust the prices for Hong Kong as well.
As for other countries, especially in U.K./Europe, i doubt there will be any decrease.
