Wild Beast Swagger Dilemma: Solved...Sort Of.

So, I posted pics a while back showing the broken hardware on my wild beast Swagger. My SA thought it would be an easy fix since the bag was only missing one small screw. On the contrary, she called this morning with the news that my bag was not able to be repaired. The SA told me that there had been a few other WB Swaggers sent in for peeling paint, and she thought mine may have starting experiencing the same issues. Coach offered to return my bag with a 40% off coupon, or issue me a gift card for the entire purchase price (including tax and shipping). To avoid any more issues with the same bag in the future, I chose to accept the gift card. Now, my next dilemma begins....what bag do I replace her with?! I'm considering the black on black Swagger.

I love the black on black. But maybe hold out for the fall releases. Some of the colors in swagger for fall look pretty!

Bummer! Although this is where I love Coach's customer service...I bought the navy embossed croc 37 Swagger, and after an outing one corner was cracking badly in the sealant; went to the store, showed my SA the white band that could be seen underneath, and she replaced it. Used the new one, and so far so good-keeping my fingers crossed! Only thing is, the leather doesn't seem to do well in moisture-got caught in the rain and it now has some circular raised spots. But nothing too noticeable...now I can't decide if I should go for the chalk colorblocked pebble 37 Swagger...:smile1:

Yes! I was super pleased with their customer service in this instance. However, I've had it go both ways. I got some pretty crappy customer service with my camo Taxi Tote. Seems when I order directly through a SA they are willing to help more than when you order online.

I think so! When you're face to face with someone, I think they're more willing to help. Since there are a few FP stores around my area, I usually go to one of them and the SA's all know me, so they're great about the service. :smile1: When I lived in another state that was a different story back then though!

I had a SA I loved like a sister until we moved out of state a few years back. She ended up taking a job with another company, and I was 1.5 hour drive one way from any FP store. I think I've finally found a good fit with the girl I've dealt with on my last couple purchases. Fingers crossed anyway! Lol
 
I prefer dealing with a SA who really knows you although I live so far from a store. I've made it a point to try to start working with one in a store by phone until I can drive there and actually meet her.

Really, really sorry about your Swagger. Just looking at your handbag preferences, I think you may prefer to use the 40% off on a fall swagger. I can totally see you in one of the new, edgier ones because that's you! I know that's a bit of a wait, but . . .

At the same time, this quality issue is something we need to be aware of and one of the main reasons I started to develop a relationship with this SA recently. I love these patterns and love Coach, AND I want to make sure someone has my back.

This. +1000. I started working with my current SA via phone too. We only met in person when I went to drop off my wild beast Swagger for repair. I have found a few bags I'm interested in from the fall line, but that gift card may burn a hole in my pocket before then. Rather than get the damaged bag back, I opted for a full refund on a gift card, so I won't be getting a 40% off coupon. However, with summer fast approaching, I am considering a nice little crossbody for when we take the kiddos to the fair, amusement parks, zoo, and so on :)
 
I am so holding out till Fall! I have the Nude/Mutli Swagger coming to me early next week, but I am also eyeing that olive green leather/suede beauty for Fall 15. That one better not be just an editorial version!

That one is a gorgeous bag! I also like the new ocelot print. Maybe I can replace my wild beast print with something from that line. Wonder when the fall pieces will be ready to order?!
