Hello!
quoted from Wikipedia:
"There is no universal definition of what measurements make an ideal princess cut diamond and many diamond manufacturers market ideal diamonds with differing facet patterns and angles as "ideal cut". "

If I have learned one thing for sure on this forum, it is the cut that matters.

Bluenile.com sells different categories of cut - brilliant and princess-cut.
I would actually trust bluenile.com

What are your opinons and experiences?

The reason why I ask this question: since I returned a diamond-ring because the diamond was not present enough, not enough light and life and sparkle I am really concerned when it comes to sparkling and diamonds.

There ARE better cuts for princess but they're considered a "fancy" I think and the same rules don't really apply as for rounds. There are 2 chevron, 3 chevron and 4 chevron styles, and all three are very different looks.

For what it's worth, a few jewellers I know have told me that Princess Cuts are the most "common" cuts. They sell more by volume as opposed to 'rarity'

Therefore, these will sell more & are less expensive than other cuts (round, cushion, emerald etc....)

thank you all for your information!

I will check out Tiffanys next week, they can order princess cut studs in 6 sizes.
I will ask if the tcw costs same or less than round cut diamonds cost.

Swanky mama of three, thank you so much for posting the links, yes, I defenitely should spend some time on pricescope rather than on wikipedia!
